The total collection and correct disposal of ozone-depletion and greenhouse refrigerant fluids are nowadays professional standards, given that the activity of a certified refrigerator engineer or a refrigeration/conditioning system owner can't be outside of a correct and responsible control of the life-cycle of said fluids, which are de facto hazardous waste. The total collection and correct disposal are also law obligations as provided by European and local regulations in force. Not complying results in administrative and criminal penalties. General Gas, thanks to its Program Agreement with the Environment Ministry, has already implemented the GreenWatch service which provides nationwide collection of exhaust refrigerant fluids destined to disposal (mixed and/or heavily polluted CFC, HCFC, HFC) and/or regenaration (non-mixed or with oil and residue levels below specific values HFC). Refrigerants collected from refrigeration or conditioning systems is de facto a hazardous waste to environment (CER code 140601) and as such must be disposed solely at a center authorized by the Environment Ministry through a Program Agreement.

Disposal of the gas by incineration and/or regeneration.
Preventive chemical analysis of the gases in current systems, in order to evaluate the characteristics and contamination level (oil, sludge, humidity, carbon residue etc.).
Temporary loan of containerts (tanks and kegs) suitable to collect exhaust refrigerant fluids from the systems; the containers are provided with a valve with two couplings liquid + gas in order to accelerate the collection from the systems.
Pick up of the containers by vehicles authorised to CER 140601 waste transportation. Conduct of chemical analysis on the waste at its own wharehouse authorised by the Ministry of Environment.
Regeneration treatment and/or final shipping to the incineration plant and issue to the customer of the FIR copy certifying waste disposal in compliance with regulation in force.
In case of substantial quantity of waste to dispose and/or regenerate, General Gas provides teams of qualified operators that will proceed in complete autonomy to carry out preventive chemical analysis and waste collection from the systems.
