Kryon® 134a (R-134a) - The reference refrigerant for motor vehicle air conditioning
GeneralGas KryoSmart cylinders are manufactured in compliance with the European T-PED regulation and are refillable an infinite number of times.
The displayed price includes a value of 60.00 euro (6 x 10,00 euro), corresponding to the security deposit of the empty containers; this security deposit constitutes a binding modality for the return of the container for refilling purposes, as provided for by Article 11 paragraph 4 of the new Reg. (EU) Fgas 2024/573.
GeneralGas also provides an effective refill service for the empty container and subsequent return to the customer (HandyGas service), carried out at the GeneralGas plant in Cernusco sul Naviglio (MI).
Thanks to our exclusive HandyGas Refill and Redelivery service, if you return the empty KryoSmart container you will be entitled to receive a new KryoSmart cylinder for the price of the refill only (you will therefore only pay the value of the refrigerant gas).
Note: the cost of shipping the empty container from the customer's warehouse to the GeneralGas plant in Cernusco sul Naviglio is borne by the customer.
Kryon® 134a is one of the main product replacing HCFC gases and is the non-ozone depleting and non polluting option. The product has an energetic efficiency and a refrigeration capacity similar to R-12, but with a lower toxicity. Kryon® 134a is a reference refrigerant for motor vehicle air conditioning. It can be used in home and commercial refrigeration as well as in commercial and industrial air conditioning. Kryon® 134a is one of the most common components in refrigerants on the market.
Application:
Kryon® 134a is used in all motor vehicle air conditioning systems.
Kryon® 134a has been developed for many applications in refrigeration, as for example supermarket display cabinets, cold rooms and domestic refrigerators. The product can be used in packaged centrifugal chillers.

Kryon® 134a requires the use of polyalkylene glycol (PAG) based lubricants and polyol ester (POE) based lubricants.
KryoSmart® Cylinders - Cylinders with a small amount of refrigerant charge
In the field of Thermo-Hydraulics, the use of cylinders with a small capacity is very useful when refilling connecting pipes or conditioners. The advantage consists in marketing a cylinder that has a low market value, and therefore it is easier to sell it. Our KryoSmart® Cylinders are available 1 Litre size (in pack of 12 picies) and in 2,5 Litre size (in pack of 6 picies). KryoSmart® Cylinders are made of low carbon steel with a maximum working pressure equal to 48 bar. KryoSmart® Cylinders are filled by General Gas with the use of a patented system called “High PuritySystem”. With this method it is possible to achieve a quality standard as required by the major air conditioning and refrigerating system manufacturers. This technology allows you to obtain a gas humidity below the maximum limit (equal to 10 ppm). Therefore this type of cylinder (containing 800 gr. – 2 Kg) is the most suitable one to meet the needs of thermohydraulic market.
