Opteon® XP44 (R-452A): low GWP and no increase of discharge temperature in LT and MT refrigeration
Opteon® XP44 is a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) hydrofluoro-olefin based refrigerant with an environmental impact 50% lower than traditional R-404A/R-507. The product is non-ozone depleting and offers comparable energy efficiency vs. R-404A, whose availibility will be limited by the application of F-Gas EU 517/2014.
Opteon® XP44 is used in positive displacement, direct expansion transport applications as well as in LT and MT commercial and industrial DX refrigeration.
Opteon® XP44 is suitable in new equipment as well as for quick and easy retrofit of existing systems, can be topped off after leaks and does not require change of POE lubricant.
Opteon® XP44 is safe and non-flammable, and is approved and adopted by major OEMs of compressors and components.
Applications:
Opteon® XP44 is suitable for LT and MT transport DX refrigeration (refrigerated trucks, refrigerated vans, reefer containers).
Opteon® XP44 is also suitable for new installations and retrofit of existing systems in low and medium temperature commercial and industrial DX refrigeration.
Performance:
Opteon® XP44 enables comparable performances and energy efficiency vs. R-404A and R-507.
Opteon® XP44 is non ozone depleting with a low GWP value of 2.141 (approx. 50% reduction vs. R-404A/R-507).
No increase in compressor discharge temperature compared to R-404A; can be topped off after leaks.
Opteon® XP44 is safe and nonflammable (Classe ASHRAE - A1).
Recommended Lubricants:
Opteon® XP44 is miscible with POE lubricants.
KryoBox® Cylinders
KryoBox® cylinders are helpful every time a limited quantity of refrigerant charge is needed.
These cylinders are light and easy to handle compared to the traditional ones, therefore their transportation is much easier. KryoBox® cylinders are available in two formats, 6,4 liters and 13,6 liters; they are manufactured in full compliance with T-PED (Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive) and are packed in high-strength cardboard boxes in order to make their transport and storage on the shelf much easier.
KryoBox® cylinders R134a (AUTO) are provided with a special quick coupling automatic valve that prevents leaks that usually occur with plug valves; standard valve 1/4” with handwheel and safety device is also available for all refrigeration and residential air conditioning applications. In addition, KryoBox® R410A cylinders are supplied with an adapter with outlet 5/16" SAE.
Performance
KryoBox® cylinders are light but they are also sturdy thanks to the protection of high-strength cardboard. Cardboard boxes are provided with a special aperture that allows you to connect the charging hose to the outlet valve, without having to remove the cylinder from its cardboard box.
Even in upside down position, it is possible to mount the hose in such a way that it is easy to open the valve while taking the liquid gas phase.
KryoBox® cylinders are refillable; they can be regenerated and filled again.
GeneralGas KryoBox cylinders are manufactured in compliance with the European T-PED regulation and are refillable an infinite number of times.
The displayed price includes a value of 30,00 euro, corresponding to the security deposit of the empty container; this security deposit constitutes a binding modality for the return of the container for refilling purposes, as provided for by Article 11 paragraph 4 of the new Reg. (EU) Fgas 2024/573.
GeneralGas also provides an effective refill service for the empty container and subsequent return to the customer (HandyGas service), carried out at the GeneralGas plant in Cernusco sul Naviglio (MI).
Thanks to our exclusive HandyGas Refill and Redelivery service, if you return the empty KryoBox container you will be entitled to receive a new KryoBox cylinder for the price of the refill only (you will therefore only pay the value of the refrigerant gas).
Note: the cost of shipping the empty container from the customer's warehouse to the GeneralGas plant in Cernusco sul Naviglio is borne by the customer.
