External Leak Stop for Leakages up to 5 mm.
EXTERNAL is a leak stop suitable for any material.
It effectively seals all types of leaks up to 5 mm.
Specifically designed to be inert to all kinds of lubricants and refrigerant gases, EXTERNAL does not react to temperature changes.
EXTERNAL has been developed to be compatible with POE, PAG, PAO, minerals and alkylbenzene lubricants and also with the following refrigerants:
It has also been tested for new generation gases such as R1234yf and R1234ze.
EXTERNAL is also resistant to normal flushing liquids, as well as to chlorinated substances.
It is resistant to temperatures from -100°C to + 270°C.
The pressure resistance depends on the size of the loss:
- 40 Bar - 5 mm.
- 50 Bar - 2 mm.
- 57 Bar - 1 mm of leak diameter
EXTERNAL can be easily mixed by using two fingers. Once applied, the leak is closed.
It is ideal for emergency intervention and to let the system quickly run again.
EXTERNAL does not disperse any residues into the system and, if necessary, it can be easily removed in order to start with a subsequent different type of intervention.
Once dried, the product can be sanded and refinished.
EXTERNAL usage can be also combined with Extreme Ultra: in this way the operator can first seal the greater leak from the outside and then complete the sealing process from the inside with Extreme Ultra. The two products are not only compatible, but also synergic.
Instructions:
- Find the leak by using the usual detection methods. Errecom recommends Brilliant
- Once the leak is identified, turn off the system, clean the application area with Thor to ensure a better grip
- Cut with a cutter or a knife a quantity of EXTERNAL which is enough to create a ring all around the entire diameter of the pipe in the area of the leak
- Wear protective gloves and mix the two components for a while
- The color must be uniform and you should perceive a slight sensation of heat
- Pull the mixture well on the leak, let it adhere well to the whole circumference
- Wait 24 hours for a perfect drying. Heat EXTERNAL for 5 min. with a heat gun, to reduce the drying time to one hour.
- Once the product is dried, let the system run normally again.
If you need to remove the product, spray Thor on it, wait a moment, grab the ring with pliers or spanners with a little pressure that does not deform the pipe and rotated in one direction.
